A quick drawing, a result of me being bored and taking pictures of myself while being inspired by Hellenistic Greek Art.
I’ve started on a new project, so far I’ve only decided upon the motif. I want to make this into something really spontaneous, just to give myself a break from all the reading.
It’s been too long! I’ve been way too busy, and at the moment I’m preparing myself mentally for an oral presentation on Mondrian and Kandinsky. And making a sketch turned out to be a good idea.
I guess my fascination for people and how they look comes from my fascination for anatomy.
(Got a new computer the other day, I used the screen as a mirror while making this sketch, which makes if obvious that I was the model.)
This is the final drawing from my series that ended up being posted rather unorganized. At first I wasn’t happy at all about how the drawing started off, so I put it away for a while. I looked through some old drawings yesterday and found this one, and realized that it wasn’t as bad as I thought. I completed it today, and I am planning to put the whole series together very soon.
